And How To Use It
Looking to incentivize clients or even monetize your website traffic? Adding content lock to your website has become a popular way to capture leads with premium content.
What Is Content Lock?
Content lock is a pretty straightforward concept, in that it blocks viewers from seeing your content until they perform an action. Depending on your marketing goals it could include entering your name and email address to gain leads, or following you on social media to gain social traction.
How To Use It
Following the inbound marketing methodology, we primarily use content lock for premium content and downloadable incentives using the Elegant Themes plugin Bloom. We highly recommend using content lock for premium content, not just blog posts. You may want to lock an entire blog post that describes a highly sought after process, but you can also use content lock to hide discount codes, locations for new releases, and so much more. It also allows you to cut out landing pages for smaller downloadable incentives like checklists and free printables.
